X-Boost Technology

The EcoFlow X-Boost technology gives you the ability to use the 600W inverter to power essential devices like kitchen appliances and tools up to 1800W. This unique technology is perfect for outdoor adventures when you need to power your favorite devices on the go. Please conduct a full test on a case-by-case basis to confirm the X-Boost feature works with your appliances. Use X-Boost with devices below 1200W for the best product experience.

X-Stream Charging Technology

EcoFlow’s X-Stream technology offers one of the fastest recharging rates for a power station on the market. With the built-in smart inverter, EcoFlow RIVER Max can recharge from 0-80% within 1 hour, achieving a full charge in just 1.6 hours.

Modular Design + Extra Battery 

The EcoFlow RIVER Max features a compact, modular design that allows you to attach an extra battery to double the capacity of the device from 288Wh to 576Wh. Alternatively, you can detach the Extra Battery to make the device more portable. Whether you’re with family or going on a solo road trip, the modular design gives you all the freedom to customize your power options however you like.

Efficient Solar Power

The EcoFlow RIVER Max is also compatible with the EF Solar Panels, which provide you with a way to generate clean, reliable solar power on the go. Two 110W Solar Panels can be connected in parallel to charge the EcoFlow RIVER Max from 3-6 hours.

The RIVER Max comes with three AC outlets. (Note that the total rated wattage of the three AC outlets is 600W (surge 1200W)). With a built-in 600W inverter, the RIVER Max can power devices up to 1800W with the X-Boost mode on. The RIVER Max can power some devices up to 1800W with the X-Boost mode on, which lets you power about 80% of essential devices like kitchen appliances and DIY tools. Use devices below 1200W for the best product use.

What's the difference between RIVER, RIVER Max, and RIVER PRO?

Each of the RIVER Series has its advantages. RIVER is ideal for lightweight, grab-and-go power, which you can expand with the extra battery. RIVER Max includes the extra battery by default, which you can remove to go lightweight. RIVER Pro is made for those that need even more capacity for off-grid, long haul adventures.

Can I control RIVER Max remotely?

Yes. You can control RIVER Max using your phone. Just link to it in the EcoFlow app to control it from afar.

Can RIVER Max handle high-wattage appliances?

Yes. RIVER Max can power devices up to 1800W with our proprietary technology, X-Boost. *X-Boost can run devices that require up to 1800W, however, it’s best to test before use. Some 600W-1800W appliances with strict voltage requirements may not function (eg. air compressors).

Can I use solar panels with RIVER Max?

Yes. You can connect up to 2 sets of 110W solar panels to sustainably charge your RIVER Max in under 3 hours.

Can RIVER Max be used as an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)?

It can be an emergency power source (EPS), which will have the same result as UPS for most electronics. Here's the difference. When your RIVER Max is plugged into the wall, anything plugged into it gets power from the grid, not its battery. If power from the grid stops, RIVER Max automatically switches to its battery supply mode within 30 milliseconds. That means anything connected will not have power for 30 milliseconds, which may mean sensitive electronics like desktop computers and data servers turn off. Test your devices individually to see if they need UPS to stay powered.
