Corning Cable Systems ALTOS® Lite™Gel-Free, SingleJacket, Single-Armored Cables are designed for campus backbones in direct-buried installations. The loose tube design provides stable and highly reliable transmission parameters for a variety of voice, data, video and imaging applications. These cables also provide high-fiber density within a given cable diameter while allowing flexibility to suit many system configurations. The single armored construction provides additional crush and rodent protection with a high-strength ripcord under the armor for easy stripping. Gel-free means the cables are fully waterblocked using craft-friendly, water -swellable materials which make cable access simple and require no clean up. The flexible, craft-friendly buffer tubes are easy to route in closures, and the SZ-stranded, loose tube design isolates fibers from installation and environmental rigors while allowing easy midspan access. These cables have a medium density polyethylene jacket that is rugged, durable and easy to strip.

Corning ALTOS Lite gel-free, single-jacket, single-armored cables with FastAccess technology are designed for direct-buried installations. The innovative FastAccess technology feature combined with the gel-free loose tube design simplifies removal of t he cable jacket and accessing the buffer tubes. The gel-free design means the cables are fully waterblocked using craft-friendly water-swellable materials which makes cable access simple and require no clean up. The loose tube design uses Corning's SMF- 28 Ultra fiber to provide reliable transmission parameters for a variety of voice, data, video and imaging applications. The flexible buffer tubes are easy to route in closures, and the SZ-stranded, loose tube design isolates fibers from installation a nd environmental rigors while allowing easy midspan access. FREEDM® One Tight-Buffered Cable - Single-mode (OS2)

Corning FREEDM One riser cables are flame-retardant, UV-resistant, indoor/outdoor cables designed for aerial and duct applications with no need for a transition splice when entering the building. The tight-buffered construction facilitates easier termination for low-fiber-count applications in the local area network (LAN) and eliminates the need for fan-out kits. The design features TIA-598 color-coded 900 Um buffered fibers for easy identification, consistent stripping and direct termination. The s mall diameter and bend radius of the cable allow for easy installation in space-constrained areas while the innovative waterblocking technology is ideal for outside plant (OSP) applications. The all-dielectric cable construction requires no grounding o r bonding, and the UV-resistant, flame-retardant jacket is rugged, durable and easy to strip.
